- It isn’t time to be thinking about pantomime is it? Oh yes it is. Chelmsford’s Civic Theatre is already on the lookout for young talent to take part in this year’s Christmas offering, Aladdin. In June, the auditions to find the juvenile cast will take place at the theatre and children and young people who want to take part are encouraged to apply now. Pantomime producers One From the Heart are looking for outstandingly talented dancers, both girls and boys, to join the professional cast on stage this December. Entrants should be aged between 11 and 19 and have extremely strong dance ability and exceptional stage presence. Singing and drama experience is useful, but not essential. To audition, request an information pack by calling the box office on 01245 606505 or by logging on to www.chelmsford.gov.uk/theatres and downloading the pack from the website. Information packs can also be collected from the theatre’s Box Office on Fairfield Road. Auditions will be held in the Civic Theatre on Saturday, June 12, from 10am to 1.30pm. Closing dates for receipt of application forms is 28 May.
